The Project: “Unscripted”
The Status: Planning
The Story:
A sketch comedy show worthy of YouTube. Simple as that.
The Concept:
Monty Python, Broken Lizard, Second City, Whose Line is it Anyway, and Saturday Night Live. All sketch comedy groups that excel in creating the absurd. Locally, in my hometown, we have a live version of it known as Comedy Sportz. I’m curious to see if some of their players would be interested in creating a once-a-month sketch comedy show that can be for YouTube what Saturday Night Live is for NBC.
What does the project need?
Funding: Along with every other Majestic Media Project, funding from you is the primary resource that gives us the freedom to create.
A Producer: I’ll need to find myself a Lorne Michaels. Someone who can manage a team of comedians. Create and write the concepts for the skits. A Producer, a writer, and a comedian all in one. Is that you?
A team of players: Do you want to be known as the internet’s Ferrell, Murray, Aykroyd, Belushi, or Farley? Do you live in the Midwest area, preferably closer to the Milwaukee or Chicago area, to make things logistically easier? Then I’m interested in talking with you.
Curator Benefits:
Most people would end up seeing the edited, final version of the show. But as a curator, you’ll be able to see the live stream taping of the show. You are the live studio audience.
